First Post

It has been almost 25 years since I built my very first blog. It feels silly, but 25 years later the perfect blogging software or CMS still doesn't exist. It probably never will, so I may as well make another for myself. Let's talk about the MVP.

I chose Zola as a static-site generator to start. For a base theme, I chose Abridge. I generated a favicon with favicon.ico. I'm hosting on Cloudflare for now with Cloudflare Pages, but I bypassed using builds and am just publishing from my laptop.

With a few tweaks to config and templates, we're live today. Honestly, it went much easier and smoother than expected.

I have a backlog of articles I've been wanting to write for a while. Stay tuned.
